So, as the week comes to an end (yah!), I can’t help but notice my pile of work is growing by the hour. Don’t get me wrong - that’s a GOOD thing! Well, maybe not for my “hot box” which seems to be overflowing at the moment. I should try and give that thing a break someday. Oh, and for those of you who don’t know, the “hot box” is the little bin that sits on my desk where incoming work for everyone at Hummingbird is placed and distributed. It’s basically the central location for everything that needs to be done.
Anyways, I am pretty excited about some of the projects I get to work on coming up. The Inwood Forest Web site copy is just about finished - just a few liitle tweaks here and there and it will be ready for Mike to post live! Next week is looking like a “Building Blocks” week for me. I am going to start working on copy for their brochure, an ad and a press release. I don’t know too much about them yet - other than they are AMAZING - so I will have a bit of research to do. Oh, and lets not forget the Southeastern Emergency Equipment Catalog. Sandy dropped off a bunch of new sections to layout. It’s definitely a work in progress.
Other than that, Steve is leaving for Belize tomorrow - and even shaved his head for the event! It’s kind of funny hearing Steve read emails from other fellow “Belize-goers” reminding him to take his pills on “Malaria Monday” and ”Typhoid Tuesday.” We’ll miss him around the office next week, but I am sure it will be an experience he’ll never forget. Maybe he can pick up a client or two while he’s there?
